Megan J. Smith is an award-winning entrepreneur, engineer, and tech evangelist. Smith is co-founder of the Malala Fund and the United Nations Solutions Summit. She is a board member of MIT, where she graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering.
She serves as the Founder and CEO of shift7, a company working collaboratively on systemic social, environmental, and economic issues. Prior to that, Smith served as the third Chief Technology Officer of the United States and Assistant to the President from 2014 to 2017. She also spent eleven years as a vice president at Google where she led new business development, and later, Google[x].
