COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols

COVID-19 POLICY FOR IN-PERSON ATTENDEES

Appian does not require in-person attendees at Appian events to obtain a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of vaccination.  However, Appian strongly recommends that all attendees be fully vaccinated and obtain a negative COVID-19 test result prior to attending any in-person Appian Event.

You specifically agree that you will not attend the Event if, within five (5) days prior to the Event, you have tested positive for COVID-19.  If you tested positive more than five (5) days but less than ten (10) days prior to the event, you agree not to attend the event until your symptoms, if any, are resolving and you are fever free for at least 24 hours, and you agree to wear a mask around others while attending the event.   If you test positive during the event or you experience any symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19 outlined below, you agree that you will not attend the remainder of the event.

Daily Health Screening

Appian recommends that all participants screen themselves daily for symptoms. If you display any of the symptoms below or test positive, you should not attend an in-person Appian Event.

The following symptoms are outlined on the CDC Website indicating that an individual may have COVID-19:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting

Pre-Event Testing

Appian strongly encourages individuals to be tested for COVID-19 prior to traveling to any Appian Event. Individuals who test positive should stay home and cancel their registrations.

Masking

Appian will follow the masking requirements that are in place in Washington, DC at the time of the event.

Physical Distancing

Most venues are not currently requiring physical distancing. However, to ensure the comfort of our participants, Appian will take reasonable steps to provide physically-distant options when able to do so.
